How I found my way to this work.

I spent the early part of my career in criminal, family, and immigration law - and what those areas have in common is that by the time someone needs a lawyer, something has already gone wrong. Options are limited, stress is high, and the work becomes less about protection and more about damage control. What I noticed over time was that it was rarely just one issue. Legal problems touch families, children, finances, and future plans all at once. And when there isn’t clarity in place ahead of time, even relatively ordinary life changes can feel overwhelming. That’s really where my perspective shifted. I came to see how powerful it is when people have a clear plan in place before something happens - not out of fear, but out of care for the people they love. That’s what drew me to life and legacy planning.

This is personal for me.

For years, I was a single mother and a business owner - and even as a lawyer, I carried a quiet, persistent worry about what would happen to my daughter if something unexpected happened to me. Would she be taken care of? By the right people? In the way I intended? I didn’t have clear answers, and honestly, I kept putting it off because it felt heavy and overwhelming to face alone. I also realize now that my business wasn’t adequately protected either. Not because I didn’t care - but because no one had ever walked me through it in a way that felt manageable. That experience sits with me every time I work with a client. I know what it feels like to carry that quiet weight. And I know what a difference it makes when it’s finally lifted.

My Approach.

My approach is grounded and practical. We focus on clarity, simplicity, and creating a plan that actually works in real life - and that can evolve as your life does. What I know from years of watching families navigate hard moments is this: the plans that actually protect people aren’t the ones sitting in a drawer - they’re the ones built with care, kept current, and understood by the people they’re meant to serve. That’s what we build here.
