Clear, enduring plans that support the life you’re living and the legacy you’ll leave.
Laurel Law & Planning works with families and individuals who want thoughtful life and legacy planning - so they can live fully, knowing what matters most is protected.
You already know this matters.
Most people who find their way here aren’t in crisis. They’re simply at a point in life where the question of “what would happen if…” has started to feel less hypothetical. Maybe you have young children and realize you’ve never formalized who would care for them. Maybe your family or finances have grown more complex. Maybe you have a plan somewhere - but aren’t sure it still reflects your life. Whatever brought you here, the fact that you’re thinking about this is already the most important step.
Planning isn’t about anticipating the worst. It’s about caring for the people you love most.
Life and legacy planning isn’t a document you file away and forget. It’s a living framework that reflects who you are, what you value, and who depends on you - today and over time. When it’s done well, it doesn’t feel like planning for death. It feels like clarity. Like finally being able to exhale and focus on the life in front of you, knowing the people and things that matter most are protected. That’s what we build here.
The person behind the practice.
Laurel Law & Planning was founded by Alisha Wood, an attorney whose career in criminal, family, and immigration law revealed a consistent truth: when people don’t have clear plans in place, the people they love bear the burden. This practice was built to offer something different - a calm, relationship-based approach to life and legacy planning that puts families first and keeps the process human.
